Pogo

A free app that offers at least 9 easy ways to accumulate cash back rewards

Last updated on June 9th, 2025 at 12:52 am

Pogo is a free mobile app, site and browser extension designed to help consumers earn cash back and save money when shopping and making financial decisions. Pogo empowers consumers to get paid for their data—to the extent they choose to share it.

Pogo is an app, site and browser extension that gives users the opportunity to earn cash back rewards by “putting your own data to work for your own benefit,” as the company notes in its mission statement. Linking your cards, accounts and data to Pogo opens up a variety of opportunities to save money and earn cash back.

Yes. Pogo is a legitimate app. It was founded in 2020 in New York City, and by August 2022 had raised $14.8 million in funding. As of June 2025, Pogo has a 4.9 out of 5 star rating in the App store and a 4.6 out of 5 rating in Google Play.

Yes. According to Pogo’s Terms and Conditions, you must be at least 13 years old to create an account with Pogo.

From reading Pogo’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, it appears Pogo makes money in at least three different ways.

  1. Selling “anonymized, aggregated data” to other companies
  2. Advertising: Serving you relevant, targeted ads based on your location data
  3. Earning commissions when you sign up for an account with one of their business partners
  1. Share your purchase history. Simply connect credit and debit card(s) to Pogo and earn points on qualifying purchases
  2. Scan physical store receipts (much like you would submit to Fetch)
  3. Link email accounts to Pogo (so Pogo can pull receipts from your purchases)
  4. Play online games
  5. Take paid surveys
  6. Share location data, which enables you to collect location-based rewards via push notifications
  7.  Install Pogo’s browser extension (400 points for doing the install)
  8. Connect Pogo to Apple health (100 points for connecting, 10 points each week thereafter)
  9.  Take advantage of offers from Pogo partners. For example, as of this writing Pogo is offering 1,500 points for signing up with Credit Karma and 10,000 points for signing up with Uber Eats.

In order to receive so-called Claim Feed Rewards from Pogo, you must link at least one eligible debit/credit card. A feed with your purchases will begin showing up in Pogo; simply hit the “Claim” button next to each purchase to claim your points. Most purchases give you between 2 and 20 points.

You can also earn points by manually scanning paper receipts in the app. Each manually scanned receipt from any grocer or retailer is worth 10 points, with a bonus of 50 points if you scan seven receipts over the course of a seven-day period.

You can also earn points when you connect an email inbox to Pogo (300 points for the initial connection and 10 points per week thereafter), and for connecting your account to Apple Health (100 points for making the connection and 10 points each week thereafter).

Based on our experience at All Good Points, the typical Pogo user probably earns $2-$10 per month for purchase data, receipt scanning and location rewards. So, unless you are taking advantage of the partner signup offers, earning potential with Pogo is limited. In our estimation, Pogo is best used in combination with other shopping apps, including other cash back apps.

Sign up using our referral link (and be sure to enter referral code 6LW334) and you will earn a 250-point bonus as soon as you accumulate your first 5,000 points.
