The main way to earn miles/points with the GeoSmiles app is to walk, run, bike or otherwise travel around. Step 2 is to claim your steps & miles on a daily basis by watching ads.

You earn 1 GeoSmile mile for every thousand steps (up to 10 miles, or 10,000 steps per day). You can also earn miles based on distance traveled in actual miles. Again, you accept those miles by watching ads.

Miles can also be earned by taking surveys or playing games like slots and the “lucky wheel.”

Click on the Account link to access your Lifetime Stats, which reveal:
– your total steps, and
– total miles covered

Yes. According to the app’s privacy policy, “miles will be valid for 90 days from the day you last acquired (GeoSmile) Miles on the App and then begin to expire.”

GeoSmile uses the e-gift card service XoXoday to deliver electronic gift cards to users.

To redeem an e-gift card with GeoSmile

• Click on the Redeem tab at the bottom center of the app.
• Click on the E-Voucher tab to view your total miles available for redemption, as well all available gift card options.
• Choose a gift card and click “Redeem for [X number of points]”
• Drag “Slide to exchange” to the right, after confirming Terms & Conditions and redemption instructions.
• A link to the e-gift card is revealed.

Note: GeoSmile does not send a notification when a requested e-gift card appears in your account. Instead, you can check on the status of your redemption by clicking on “purchase history” on the E-Voucher page.

Also, you need to be a GeoSmile user for at least 7 days before you can cash out your first gift card.

The GeoSmile app aggressively prompts users to watch ads in exchange for the miles/points that you need to accumulate free gift cards. As a result, it requires more of a commitment than many (but not certainly not all) other apps of its kind.

GeoSmile is best suited for ‘get paid to walk’ app enthusiasts who are using multiple walking rewards apps simultaneously and have made them a part of their daily routine. That includes checking in with each app during the day or at the end of the day (to accept the steps and miles recorded).

GeoSmile also seems especially well-suited to individuals who do a lot of walking and driving on a daily basis—delivery drivers, for example.

With GeoSmile, the potential exists to earn rewards more than twice as fast as a typical get paid to walk app. But again, that requires clicking on a significant number of ads.

• Click on the ‘Free 3x Boost’ (an ad will play) before driving a significant distance. This will fill up your award “tanks” 3x as fast, and will make a significant difference in the amount of points you can accumulate.
• Alternatively, you can navigate to the Redeem page and use points to trigger 1 of 2 “Tank Accelerators.” For 2,000 points you can give yourself a 3x speed boost for 7 days. For 4,000 points you can give yourself a speed boost for 30 days. Both choices are well worth it if you plan to do a significant amount of walking or driving—especially driving.  
• You can spin the “Lucky Wheel” once per hour; watching one ad allows you to spin the wheel and earn extra points without walking, driving or otherwise moving around.
