Earn 10 Cheba Coin per dollar spent, plus other ways to save

Last updated on September 25th, 2025 at 12:59 pm

Cheba Hut is a Cannabis-themed restaurant chain that has been “curing munchies” since 1998, when it opened its first shop in Tempe, Arizona.

“There are ZERO amounts of any marijuana-related products in our food,” emphasizes the About page on Cheba Hut’s Web site, having noted that “cheeba” is a term synonymous with marijuana. It’s just that “(f)ounder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture.”

More than a quarter century later, Cheba Hut has upwards of 70 locations around the U.S., with a “menu that features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries.”

Opportunities to save/earn money at Cheeba Hut are relatively limited, at least as compared to larger fast casual chains. But at All Good Points we have identified at least three ways to earn and/or save money at Cheba Hut.

1. Join the Cheba Hut Rewards program (Munchie Mob Rewards)
Download the Cheba Hut app from the App Store or from Google Play and join the company’s Rewards program, which was re-branded as Munchie Mob Rewards in September 2025. You’ll get 10 Cheba Coin for every dollar you spend. New app users are rewarded with 420 Coin at sign-up. Existing app users earn 20 Coin when they opt-in to the Munchie Mob program.

How to Earn Cheba Coin
With a linked credit or debit card, the app automatically tracks purchases and credits rewards, obviating the need to enter a phone number, present a rewards card or scan a bar code when making purchases. Alternatively, users can submit a photo of their Cheba Hut receipt within the app to earn rewards.

Munchie Mob Rewards:
– Free non-alcoholic drink (500 Coin)
– Free cookie, Krispy or chips (650 Coin)
– Free cookie, Krispy or chips plus a free drink (1,000 Coin)
– Free Nug (4-inch sub) (1,600 Coin)
– Free Pinner (8-inch sub) (2,500 Coin)
– Free Salad (2,750 Coin)
– Free Blunt (12-inch sub) (3,250 Coin)

According to the company, Cheba Hut Coin expire one year after they are earned. Reward points can be redeemed via the app, the Cheba Hut Web site or in-person.

2. Pay With Pepper, Get 3% Cash Back on Cheeba Hut Purchases
You can get 3% cash back on Cheeba Hut purchases by creating an exact change gift card in the Pepper app and using it to pay at Cheeba Hut (step-by-step instructions on Pepper’s site).

Pepper enables you to stack rewards on top of existing credit card points, as well as Cheeba Hut points. And rewards earned through Pepper can be applied as cash on future purchases,

3. Cheba Hut Mystery Shops
There are a limited number of opportunities to mystery shop Cheba Hut via Reality Based Group (RBG). The assignments typically pay a modest fee ($10-$15) plus reimbursement of between $15 and $25 for expenses.
