Cheba Hut Rewards

Earn $4.20 on every $100 spent, plus other ways to save

Last updated on July 7th, 2025 at 07:03 pm

Cheba Hut is a Cannabis-themed restaurant chain that has been “curing munchies” since 1998, when it opened its first shop in Tempe, Arizona.

“There are ZERO amounts of any marijuana-related products in our food,” emphasizes the About page on Cheba Hut’s Web site, having noted that “cheeba” is a term synonymous with marijuana. It’s just that “(f)ounder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture.”

More than a quarter century later, Cheba Hut has upwards of 70 locations around the U.S., with a “menu that features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries.”

Opportunities to save/earn money at Cheeba Hut are relatively limited, at least as compared to larger fast casual chains. But at All Good Points we have identified at least three ways to earn and/or save money at Cheba Hut.

1. Join the Cheba Hut Rewards program
Download the Cheba Hut app from the App Store or from Google Play and join the company’s Rewards program. You’ll get $4.20 for every $100 you spend, plus there’s the opportunity to play the ‘Flippy Bird’ game in-app to earn extra points.

To redeem Cheba Hut rewards points: Pull up the Burn section in your app and enter the amount you want to use. This will generate a QR code that can be scanned at the shop. You can also ask the crew member ringing you up to pull up your account and apply rewards to your transaction.

According to Cheba Hut, their reward points never expire, but rewards credits expire after 30 days.

2. Pay With Pepper, Get 3% Cash Back on Cheeba Hut Purchases
You can get 3% cash back on Cheeba Hut purchases by creating an exact change gift card in the Pepper app and using it to pay at Cheeba Hut (step-by-step instructions on Pepper’s site).

Pepper enables you to stack rewards on top of existing credit card points, as well as Cheeba Hut points. And rewards earned through Pepper can be applied as cash on future purchases,

3. Cheba Hut Mystery Shops
There are a limited number of opportunities to mystery shop Cheba Hut via Reality Based Group (RBG). The assignments typically pay a modest fee ($10-$15) plus reimbursement of between $15 and $25 for expenses.
