JoyPace masquerades as a 'get paid to walk' app, but fails to deliver any rewards

JoyPace is a step counting app that offers the promise of cash rewards, but doesn’t deliver those rewards, making it a complete waste of time. Our advice is to delete JoyPace and download one or more of the many legit ‘get paid to walk’ apps, like Million Steps, WeWard, Cashwalk, Evidation or GeoSmile.

JoyPace is a Chinese app that masquerades as a common ‘get paid to walk’ app. It counts your steps and allows you to convert those steps into cash rewards by watching ads. But JoyPace doesn’t allow you to reach the minimum threshold for cashing out, making it a complete waste of time.

Specifically, it requires you to achieve a minimum balance of $30 before you can cash out, which is readily achievable by walking and watching ads. But it also requires you to earn 50 ‘fragments,’ and you can only work toward that goal by watching ads. The kicker is that the app won’t allow you to earn more than 47, 48 or 49 fragments (you’ll get a ‘Sorry’ message every time when you reach that level).

No, JoyPace is not a legitimate app, despite its 4.4 out of 5 star rating in the App store. Perhaps it was legit at some point in the past, as it functions much like many other walking rewards apps. But it doesn’t allow you to reach the minimum threshold for cashing out, making it a scam.

No, definitely not. There are many other ‘get paid to walk’ apps that provide actual financial compensation in the form of cash, gift cards, bitcoin or product discounts.

If you already have JoyPace on your phone, delete it and try one (or more) of the walking apps that offer financial compensation. Possibilities include: Cashwalk, GeoSmile, Million Steps, WeWard and Evidation, among others.
