Yes, WalkFi is a legitimate app. As of April 2025, WalkFi has a 4.9 out of 5 star rating in the App store and a 4.7 out of 5 stars rating on Google Play.
According to the app’s Terms and Conditions, WalkFi is “intended for persons who are at least 15 years of age.”
You can use the WalkFi app in the United States, Canada and Egypt. You can also choose “International” when you sign up, so it may work in other countries as well.
The WalkFi walking rewards app is free to download and use. It rewards users with points (“WalkPoints”) that can be exchanged for cash via PayPal, or for Tango gift cards.

To sign up with WalkFi you need to provide your name, email address and country of residence (U.S., Canada, Egypt or “International.”) WalkFi then connects to the pedometer of your mobile device to track your steps.
The main way to earn points with the WalkFi app is to walk. You earn 1 WalkCoin for every 100 steps.
You can also earn WalkCoins by: answering surveys; playing games; watching ads (5 coins per video watched); claiming streak bonuses (100 coins for logging in 7 days straight); and for referring friends (250 coins).
As of this writing, WalkFi’s survey partners are: CPX Research and BitLabs. Its gaming partners are: Play to Earn; myChips; Ayet Studios and Revlum.
Note: The ability to watch ads for points is turned off when you allow WalkFi to track you across other apps/web sites.

As of this writing, it takes 40,000 points to cash out $25 with PayPal or to earn a $25 Tango gift card. A $15 Tango gift card requires a balance of 31,000 points and a $10 gift card requires $24,000 points.

To redeem an e-gift card with WalkFi:
- Click on the “gift” icon at bottom right in the app.
- Click on the reward you’d like to redeem.
Earning potential with WalkFi is average (by walking rewards app standards). To maximize your time and effort with ‘get paid to walk’ apps, consider using 6 or 8 at a time. Other walking rewards apps that warrant consideration are: GeoSmile, Cashwalk, WeWard, Evidation and Steps Money, among others.
